Weird, because reading the introduction, it seems to me that he was Welsh? I'm assuming there's some class issues going on there, or maybe it was just that he was well-traveled and a clergyman/educated, so all those knights attempting to kill each other to pass the time came off as . . . uncouth.
Anyway, that seems like an excellent resource! since I've got some things happening at a monastery later on in the story.
