Simple idea really, follow these three steps:
1.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random - the article you get will be your band's name.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 - the last four words of the last quote will be your album name (you'll need to refresh this page each time you want a new album name).

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ - and the third picture will be your album cover.*

If you aren't allowed to download your flickr pic just view the source and search for 'src="http://farm' and you'll uncover the url. Eg. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3215/2699654347_7bac7e3c01.jpg?v=0

You can photoshop your album cover if you like.

Band name: Islamic View of Mary (which is actually not a bad band name)
Album name: The Tediousness of Life (Full quote: "Art is merely the refuge which the ingenious have invented, when they were supplied with food and women, to escape the tediousness of life." -- W. Somerset Maugham)

I feel like this would a female Modest Mouse-like group crossed with Tori Amos and maybe that guy that Natalie Portman is dating, who is weird and South American, only this group would be strange and . . . Lebanese. All the band members would have dark, soulful eyes, except for the oud player, who would have startling gray-green eyes. They would write slightly jaded and cynical music, because they are in fact second-generation Lebanese-Americans. It would frequently address human rights issues and call for peace in the Middle East, but in interviews they would laugh about it, because they know it's never going to come.

What I find incredibly disturbing is that I think both our results have the possibility of actually resembling music that's already out there.

I mean, "Milk's Leap Towards Immortality"? What does that even mean? Is it about cheese? Who knows!

Let's see if this works, I kind of suck at photoshoppy-type things.

album cover thing

Siliştea, Brăila is comprised of children of Eastern European immigrants. Their style is American rock and roll with the occasional balalaika solo. They also do a kick-ass cover of "Back in the USSR"

A pop indie band, I would imagine. Fun and lighthearted.

Apparently I am a moron when it comes to linking images. Let's try that again:
