New Hair!

I have sad news. I apparently do not have enough hair up front to have really thick bangs and sidesweep-y things. I'm stuck with what I've got on my head, so I went with just straight-up bangs. The stylist trimmed about a half-inch off the rest, just to get rid of some split ends.

I was feeling kind of Frida Kahlo-ish when I got home, so I tossed my hair up in some braids and took some pictures. Only one of them was not blurry or featured me with both eyes open. Stupid eyes with their blinking and what-not.

Understand that this is with no styling product or anything. I should be able to get some more oomph with the blowdryer, and I think they're long enough for some Betty Page action.

The picture does not do it justice. It is tremendously cute. And I don't understand how anyone can I say I don't look a little like my dad. Because I totally do.

Thanks, Lindsey! I really like it. I haven't had bangs like this since grade school.

Thanks!

I think that video just cost me precious brain cells. Despite the Might Be Giants.

Yeah, it was slim pickings finding something with that song. A pity really.

Yay! I like it, too.

I just logged into AIM for the first time in months, so am anticipating messages from Tatty some time in the future.

Blah blah blah. :P

I like it. The bang things that I had before kept poking me in the eye.

It's nice getting a new haircut.

My hair is currently driving me nuts but I can't get it done until after Easter (my friend is my hairdresser, she is busy and can't come by then I am out of town and am busy.. so when we mesh isn't until then.. kinda sucks, but I refuse to go to a salon anymore). I can't wait though, time for a slightly shorter cut because it's almost spring.

It's cute. The braids make me wish I could grow my hair long, but alas, it is too thick and unruly and curly. (Even though it affords me those thick, retro bangs you covet.) Damn you, Armenian genes.

I missed out on all the good German/English/Irish genes, apparently. Instead of freckles and the ability to charm the pants off strangers, I got easily sunburnt skin and a distressing liking for songs about handsome young men dying in war.

Of course, my youngest brother has hair that thick and curly, and my mom did when she was my age and so did her mom. Maybe I'm adopted. Or a changeling. I could get down with the changeling thing.

Thank you! They're slightly thicker now that I've washed my hair and haven't been fussing with it every five minutes.
