FO: Diagonal Washcloths

This post is to inform you all that I intend to share the most inane finished objects I make. Up next: the three-foot long piece of i-cord I knit for my cat to play with. (OK, not really, as I've never done that. But washcloths figure up there with that level of inanity. Lucky flist, you are the recipients.)
As always, click on my Pulitzer Award-winning level photography to see a bigger picture.

Pattern: eLoomanator's Diagonal Knit Dishcloth, Ravelry link (It's in the pattern notes.)
Yarn: Peaches & Créme worsted weight cotton (blue/white/green), Sugar'n Cream worsted weight cotton in Vert Chaud (Hot Green) -- 1 skein each
Needles: Size 7 US / 4.5 mm
Techniques: knitting flat, garter stitch, yo, skp (sl 1, k1, psso), k2tog

Notes: All self-condescension aside, I really enjoyed knitting this. It's a variation on the grandmother's favorite pattern. They're simple enough to knit while watching TV and are total instant gratification knitting. I got about halfway through the decreases for the center panel, and just could not put it down. Can you be addicted to knitting washcloths? Probably. The yo, skp pattern in the middle also gives great texture. This is true on the wrong side of the variegated one especially, where it appears as V's that look a bit like slip stitches but are not.
Also, "vert chaud" as the French translation of "hot green" tickles me endlessly. I know it's basically a direct translation, but from now on, lime green is vert chaud to me, joining créme anglaise as off white.
Would I knit it again? Oh, yes. Definitely.
Appropriate for beginners? Knock yourself out.
