I'll post a more detailed entry following the construction process later; I need to figure out which of the approximately billion pics to use.

The inspiration image.

The side view is my favorite. I think it's very close to the inspiration image, though I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to putting a plume in the middle of it like that. What I need now is a hat pin, because all the trim is on the back and it tends to fly off the back of my head when I walk too fast. Maybe I could rig some sort of pully system . . .

I'm sorry the back view isn't nicer -- it's amazingly hard to take pictures of the back of your own head. The front view is actually it without trimming, but it looks exactly the same.

There are some more of the process in the gallery, though I still have to upload about ten. Most of them have notes, but not enough to explain how I put it together. If anyone has the burning need to see the huge original photos, let me know. I'll e-mail them to you or try to upload them.

You remind me a lot of a former best friend in profile.

Neat hat.

Thanks!

I like looking at profile pics of myself because it's the way I look most strongly like my dad, and then it's mostly in the nose. I don't look extraordinarily like my parents, so whenever I see family resemblances to them, I go, "Woo! Still not adopted!" I usually look more like strangers than family (except my youngest brother, who is basically me in man form.)

Er, sorry, ramble.

Thank you.

Don't be jealous. It was soooo easy to make! I am not even kidding. Time consuming, but easy. Now I just have to make the outfit that goes with it?

I'm so incredibly pleased with myself with this thing it's disgusting. I honestly didn't think it was going to turn out this well. But it did, so yay!
