I'm here because fidgety (I'm too lazy to look up the code for the little linky-icony thingy, sorry) wrote an entry about how you left LJ for DW and you sound like a really interesting person and I'm new to DW so I need friends. I'm into English history too, mostly Tudor-era, and I was into it waaay before that Showtime show and The Other Boleyn Girl and all that dumbed-down stuff made it trendy. (Not to slam anyone who is into those things, I actually like The Tudors, I just don't confuse it with What Really Happened.)
